Saint Joseph en Plein Air
TBA 2019

St. Joseph en Plein Air

To enhance the St. Joseph community, its arts, and share the features that make this city great.
St. Joseph en Plein Air (St. Joe Plein Air) is an annual paint out in historic St. Joseph, MO, coordinated by Impressionist painter, Brent Seevers.

The term "en plein air" describes the method of painting from life outdoors. It is a French term that means "in open air."

Plein air painting is in a new renaissance. Various paint outs, plein air festivals, and competitions have been popping up and growing in urban and rural areas across the country. Communities in our region have taken the advantage of marketing their towns through art and created opportunities for artists near and far. It's time for St. Joseph to do the same.

Right now this event is a just paint out. In the future, there is hope for it to grow with interest and community support.

Painting locations will change each year. Open to all levels.

No registrations or fees to participate at this time.
